Endoscopic Ear Surgery and Approaches to Tympanoplasty

This hands-on course allows participants to practise and compare different surgical approaches to tympanoplasty using fresh frozen cadaver specimens, ideally suited for soft tissue dissection and grafting techniques.

Approaches covered:

  • Endoscopic
  • Post-auricular
  • End-aural

Grafts and techniques practiced:

  • Temporalis fascia
  • Cartilage
  • Perichondrium
  • Composite island graft
  • Synthetic grafts

Course format:

  • Lectures: Focused on surgical principles and graft selection
  • Hands-on focus: Live demonstration of each step, followed by supervised dissection
  • Cadaveric dissection: Fresh frozen heads provided for optimal soft tissue work

Who should attend:

ENT surgeons in training, as well as established surgeons wishing to broaden or refine their skills in ear surgery and tympanoplasty techniques.
